Tell Em "I Am Sent Ya!"

God said, "I've taken a good, long look at the affliction of my people in Egypt. I've heard their cries for deliverance from their slave masters; I know all about their pain. And now I have come down to help them, pry them loose from the grip of Egypt, get them out of that country and bring them to a good land with wide-open spaces, a land lush with milk and honey, the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
"The Israelite cry for help has come to me, and I've seen for myself how cruelly they're being treated by the Egyptians. It's time for you to go back: I'm sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people, the People of Israel, out of Egypt."
Moses answered God, "But why me? What makes you think that I could ever go to Pharaoh and lead the children of Israel out of Egypt?"
"I'll be with you," God said. "And this will be the proof that I am the one who sent you: When you have brought my people out of Egypt, you will worship God right here at this very mountain."
Then Moses said to God, "Suppose I go to the People of Israel and I tell them, 'The God of your fathers sent me to you'; and they ask me, 'What is his name?' What do I tell them?"
God said to Moses, "I-AM-WHO-I-AM. Tell the People of Israel, 'I-AM sent me to you.'"

It's funny how Moses began making excuses when God instructed him to go do something, it's a good thing none of us are like that huh?  We will talk about Moses and his excuses another day.  Today I want to focus on a key ingredient...thee main ingredient when it comes to being deployed, and that is knowing who sent you!   As Christians we are "commissioned" to go out into ALL the World and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We have been sent out by Thee Highest Authority there is!  Sometimes we lose sight of this very important truth.  When you know who sent you it makes all the difference in the World, even when things look bad you stay the course because you know who has your back!  When I Am sends ya, there is NOTHING or NO ONE who can stop you... PERIOD!

Today's Challenge:  Conduct a Self Examination, are you progressing and moving forward, or have you let worries, concerns and other things stop you or slow you down?  Remember who sent ya!  Get up and Get Movin and when people or things try to oppose you...just run right over em all while yellin "I AM Sent Me!!!   Ya Heard!

Walk It... Like Ya Changed!

Jesus entered Jericho and made his way through the town.  There was a man there named Zacchaeus. He was the chief tax collector in the region, and he had become very rich.  He tried to get a look at Jesus, but he was too short to see over the crowd.   So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree beside the road, for Jesus was going to pass that way.
When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name. “Zacchaeus!” he said. “Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today.”   Zacchaeus quickly climbed down and took Jesus to his house in great excitement and joy.   But the people were displeased. “He has gone to be the guest of a notorious sinner,” they grumbled.  Meanwhile, Zacchaeus stood before the Lord and said, “I will give half my wealth to the poor, Lord, and if I have cheated people on their taxes, I will give them back four times as much!”   Jesus responded, “Salvation has come to this home today, for this man has shown himself to be a true son of Abraham. For the Son of Man  came to seek and save those who are lost.”     -Luke 19:1-9

There is something about having an encounter with the Christ! I'm not talking about just seeing Him in action, I'm talking about a real personal encounter... an interaction with Him! When you have one of these types of encounters your life is never the same. That was the case with  Zaccheus, the Tax Collector.  This interaction/encounter with the Christ caused dude to openly repent... but he didn't stop there, no he vowed to give half of his possessions to the poor and to give back any money he had wrongfully taken with interest...that my friend is "walkin it like ya changed!"   He wasn't the only one, remember ya boy Paul, the dude who wrote a large portion of the New Testament? Well before he was Paul he was known as Saul, a hardcore OG bent on terrorizing the saints and the funny thing was that he thought he was doing God's work. One day on his way to terrorize some folks He had a face to face encounter with The Christ and from that point on he wasn't the same cat! He began also began "walkin like he changed!"

How about you?  Have you had an encounter with The Christ?  If so are you "Walkin It Like Ya Changed or are you trying to walk with one foot stuck in the grave?  Your challenge: Let Christ complete His work in you...scriptures says that those of us who are in Christ are NEW creations...stop trying to hold on to that old guy and start "Walkin Like Ya Changed!"  Ya Heard!

Forget what ya heard...
Too many times we sit and let people spoon feed us ideas about everything, and without ever checking it or finding out for ourselves whether it is true or even good for us we just eat it up.  When it comes to our Christian Walk, we need to be active participants in it, meaning we should be spending time with God through prayer, reading His word and fellowship/worship.  Neglecting to do so makes for one weak Christian, suspect to being misled and misdirected by all of the many voices out there sharing their two cents.  Today's devo comes from the 3rd Chapter of 2 Timothy, read it and then check out the video.  As you go about your day today, be more observant and notice that just about everywhere you go someone is saying something to you, some of it true some not, the only defense is to fill yourself with The Word...What's your Word Tank looking like these days... Is it Full or are you running on fumes?
Don't be naive. There are difficult times ahead. As the end approaches, people are going to be self-absorbed, money-hungry, self-promoting, stuck-up, profane, contemptuous of parents, crude, coarse, dog-eat-dog, unbending, slanderers, impulsively wild, savage, cynical, treacherous, ruthless, bloated windbags, addicted to lust, and allergic to God. They'll make a show of religion, but behind the scenes they're animals. Stay clear of these people. These are the kind of people who smooth-talk themselves into the homes of unstable and needy women and take advantage of them; women who, depressed by their sinfulness, take up with every new religious fad that calls itself "truth." They get exploited every time and never really learn. These men are like those old Egyptian frauds Jannes and Jambres, who challenged Moses. They were rejects from the faith, twisted in their thinking, defying truth itself. But nothing will come of these latest impostors. Everyone will see through them, just as people saw through that Egyptian hoax.

You've been a good apprentice to me, a part of my teaching, my manner of life, direction, faith, steadiness, love, patience, troubles, sufferings—suffering along with me in all the grief I had to put up with in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. And you also well know that God rescued me! Anyone who wants to live all out for Christ is in for a lot of trouble; there's no getting around it. Unscrupulous con men will continue to exploit the faith. They're as deceived as the people they lead astray. As long as they are out there, things can only get worse.   But don't let it faze you. Stick with what you learned and believed, sure of the integrity of your teachers—why, you took in the sacred Scriptures with your mother's milk! There's nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God's way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.
